ABOUT GOD

God is real. He is a spiritual being (John 4:24). He is the creator of all physical things (Isaiah 45:12). He intimately knows about every one of us and is taking care of His faithful (Matthew 10:30-31). He has promised never to leave or desert us (Hebrews 13:5).

ABOUT MAN

Humanity is the crown of God's creation. We are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). He put us in the universe to have dominion over it and to be stewards of it (Genesis 1:28). The first humans, Adam and Eve, disobeyed God. They committed the first sins (Genesis 3). From then, humanity has continued to disappoint God by sinning. All of us sin and fall short of God's expectations Romans 3:23). We rely on God's mercy to be saved.

ABOUT FAITH

About 2000 years ago, God came to earth in the form of Jesus. Jesus said that belief in Him was necessary for salvation (John 3:18). We believe that Jesus came to earth to live as a man, taught and spread good while He was here, died on the cross, and rose from the grave on the third day                  (1 Corinthians 15:3-8). We believe salvation can be found in Him and none other(Acts 4:12).

ABOUT SALVATION

We believe that God’s love and justice intersect at the cross. Since God is just he cannot simply ignore or disregard our sin but because He is loving He wants to be in fellowship with us. God’s solution to our sin problem was to send Jesus to serve the death penalty due us and to reconcile us to Himself so that he might reign in our hearts and lives (2 Corinthians 5:18-19; I Thessalonians 5:9-10; I Peter 3:18; Romans 6:23.) This is why the Gospel is Good News!

God has acted on our behalf but we must choose to accept or decline his gift of salvation. We accept the gift of salvation through faith. Faith is more than just intellectual assent (James 2:19); it is made complete by our actions (James 2:22). A faith-response to Jesus includes repentance (Acts 2:38), confession (Romans 10:9) and baptism (Mark 16:16). Throughout our lives, we are continually being transformed into the image of Christ by His Spirit who lives in us.

ABOUT WHO WE ARE

WE WANT TO SERVE YOU: This church isn't exclusive or wealthy. Everything about it is very simple. It exists as a simple, New Testament body, pointing those of its community to the Christ and God of the Bible.

WE HAVE NO READY-MADE CREED: There isn't much that is ready-made for you in this church. There is no ready-made creed; you simply take the word of God. There are no ready-made prayers nor any instrumental music.

WE EXIST TO UNITE BELIEVERS: The church represents no denomination. It is simply the church of Christ, a body of Christians.

OUR FOCUS: Our focus is to proclaim the simple message of the church that Jesus built; to worship God in the simple, sincere way in which that church worshiped; to adopt the organization by which it functioned; and to serve with the humble, holy consecration that characterized its members.

YOU WILL FIND A FRIENDLY SPIRIT: Our members believe that friendliness is a natural attitude among people who truly love God. Our invitation is genuine and sincere.

If you like to worship God "in spirit and in truth", if you enjoy thinking and meditating on Gods word; if you appreciate warm, intimate, genuine brotherliness, you will enjoy attending the periods of Bible study and worship of the church.
